Mystery man who are you
Don't I know you from somewhere in time
Listening to the memory
I wish I thought I knew
Who you are or where your from in my mind
Tell me again
How you got to be in this place
Are you listening I remember
You used to be my friend
Although I can't recall your face
I think you were just a companion in the rapture
Smile bright
Tell me again the story
I've already forgotten
I guess this is why
How about this isn't the first time I've lied
Paint the portait
Hello or goodbye but belated
Tell me why your smiling
Mystery man I've forgot you
Erase the secrets and draw a silhouette
Isn't there something
Worth what we were supposed to do
Jump for the building it's just a forfeit
Hold on tight
Are you forgiving
I don't recognize
Why everyone's dying
Smile bright(Mystery)
Tell me again the simplest story(Of how we even met here)
I've already forgotten
I guess this is why(I'm not alone anymore)
How about this isn't the first time I've lied(I am not happy this isn't like it was before)
Paint the portrait(Sing louder and clearer for me)
Hello or goodbye but belated(Tell me in the end its all the same story)
Somethings erased
I figured it out now
My face melts away paint the face
Your not smiling its half-cocked and dialated how about now
Our reunion isn't reminding you
I'm the someone that makes you smile
Mystery man
Smile bright(Mystery is corrected)
Tell me again the simplest story(Why did we have to meet again?)
I've already forgotten
I guess this is why(I'm not alone anymore)
How about this isn't the first time I've lied(I am not happy this isn't like it was before)
Paint the portrait(Speak up louder and clearer for me)
Hello or goodbye but belated(Tell me in the end its all the same story)
The story
Don't mean anything
A strangers not really there
Why'd you have to be in my memory
Author notes
This is a poem/song I wrote on the spot. I already had the idea in my head. But this option of title chosing helped me complete the thought in my head.
This is a duo topic lyric:
Topic 1:
Its about running into a person the you think is a total stranger. but then again you knew them in the past so the seem fimiular. Then you think you were friends. In the end it turns out that they were an enemy in your past and they are there to kill/harm you. Now you can't make any since of the situation at hand.
Topic 2:
I was going threw old lyrics of mine. And I came upon a song titled s.t.f.u. the first one. It made me think about how much of a stranger to myself I was. And the song is totally about self-harm in stfu. And the stranger would be myself in the past.
Anyways I hope you enjoy this poem/lyrics. Oh, Another note would be the parenthese in the chorus. Ok to put it simply its two stanza's overlaying each other. Like in a song when there's two voices singing two diferent parts at the same time.

Awesome

Loved the bracketed phrases. Added the oomph into this poem (:
Lovely topics you drew inspiration from.
& I liked how you said a stranger is really someone you've forgotten (:
Best of luck~
