At the end of a long life
You soon begin to realize
Just how mortal you really are
And those moments of time
When you wasted moments so idly
Come to your busy mind,
Flashing past your eyes
As you turn and think
Of all the moments uncounted
All the time spent without love
All the days that passed without
The feeling of being loved
And think of all the days you wished
To go faster, all the moments that went
"Too slow" and realize again
Just how mortal you really are
Pleasantly you count all those
Moments, those thoughts, tallying
Together the moments of love, the moments
Of truth, the moments of tears and the
Moments of idle time, and now decide
That life's too short, get on with it
And have fun before your mortality
Catches up with you.
Author notes
Option Number seven: Seasons of love, it's kind of deviated from the song, but given the background of the musical, i hope it's okay.
