I’ve a friend with six cockatoo,
mother, father & four babies too!
A small apartment with a big cage,
she walks in the door, and all is a rage.
All the birds dancing & making a fuss,
prancing, romancing & stirring up dust.
I asked what she calls them and to my dismay,
I found she’s not given any a name!
They never listen when she tells them to shush,
they’re too busy dancing and singing to hush.
What’s to expect when you’ve given no name?
When you call out to them you can’t place any blame!
Names are important, not just titles you see,
they speak of our nature, not just our degrees.
Our parents inspired to give us a name,
each with a meaning for the reason we came.
So, when you are thinking ‘bout why you are here,
look to your name, the answer is clear;
it tells of your purpose, what you should become,
we’re all here to learn how to live ‘neath the Son!

Author notes
This is based on fact! Son is not a typo, I'm talking about the Son of man here, The Savior!

Allrighty then. This is a adorable little poem with an interesting theme. I see no spelling errors or typos and that is important to me. Your thoughts flow logically. I like that as well. Thanks for entering.
