Sitting there in silent hours,
feeling love's tumultous powers,
we lie awake at night.
Gaze into each other's eyes-
free of guilt and sin and lies
knowing things are right.
The eyes can do this special thing-
portal to the souls desiring
to look past normal sight.
Through this glass we see the soul,
the heart, the mind- all in full-
Feel safe, to hold each other tight.
For seeing now we know each other,
know the truth of one another-
and kiss away the night.
