angel tears
drench souls anew
burdened by sorrow
Love
overdue
knows even the Trio
may not heal the chill
of hearts
withdrew
from mercy
by free will

The old debate of Arminian doctrine of Free Will versus Calvinistic doctrine of Predestination [or unconditional election].
I was expecting a poem of 17th century doctine and instead...
...I get this -- after I read it through - It's beautiful. True, and painfully applicable.
I mean a nice play on words for the title, that some have a pre-destined free will. God gives them a choice, but to His utmost bane and sorrow, they choose their own God, themselves.
The rhythmic flow is astounding as well, the words were well chosen.
...
Heh, I like the use of 'trio' instead of the trinity, almost more personal, like your best friends.

You took the prompt in a different direction than I did but I love it. It's so deep and dramatic... the words seem to echo that of the picture. Well done. Good luck.
