No One Is Truly Forgotten

The hunger of a spirit in despair
reaches out in forlorn hope
for epiphany's touch.

Angel's gentle wings
flutter in succour
through human touch.

Unheeded cries of rejection
will reap pure light and love
at heaven's gates.

The soul whispers from deep within
searching fulfillment.
Listen well, hear the plea
as the melody of hope
hums incessantly.

The prayer will be heard
on the falling rain,
zephyr's through the trees
and the perfect symmetry
of a snowflake.

Author notes

Quote - "Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat".

Beautifully done. You have touched upon the truth that no one is worthless and that we, as part of creation, can be reminded by the beauty elsewhere in creation, of our own true worth. Beautifully put with such wonderful images. I love that our most desperate, lonely cries, are heard in heaven and are answered, if only we care to see and hear. REally lovely work.
