Ohh I lived on a farm for two years as a child and that rooster always came by my window. I could never sleep in, drove me mad :)) But at least I got the bathroom first :))

    Very Good

I think this haiku is very funny. The rooster had to do a whole lot of crowing to wake you up, as you are sleeping in late.

I am not used to haiku being funny. I didn't know that was allowed. But I am pleased that this appears to be so, as you are the expert in haikus.

I too, shall try to write a funny haiku.

    Thank you for your time.

    BJ.

lol... actually, haiku are very often light hearted and funny... Basho really was sort of the father of lightness in haiku but so many have followed suit. I'm very fond of humorous haiku and write them as I see them..... thanks for commenting. Very nice of you. Take care.

    why the serenade?

Here they just don't sleep, start before the sun rises. Good thing they are small birds and not a bunch of roosters

This reminds me of the mornings at my grandparents ranch. They have a few roosters and I love that sound in the morning. It's an old fashioned and humble feeling! This was very simple and so great! Well done.
