Craig

Once, I had thought love was true.
I believed in you.
I believed you believed in me, too.

Now I wonder where you are
as your son checks the clock every few moments.
He wonders aloud.
Wheres my daddy?
Does he not love me?
Does he not love you?

I should wonder where you are
 as once checked the clock
and wondered to myself,
wheres your Daddy?
Does he not love me?
Does he not love you?

Once, I thought that love was true

Now I know

its just not with you.

Wow, when I created the contest a subject like this never crossed my mind. This poem is amazing. Sad, of course, and I can feel the pain in it. But it is an amazing write.

so sad. relationships ending is sso painful, but it only gets worse when a child or children are invovoled. You end up hurting a lot more and for a lot more reasons. Great wrrite.

    Perfectly Said...Perfectly Worded

This poem is awesome. I have so felt that way before. Some of my ex's were pretty much losers and, I would have loved for them to see this poem. Excellent work...BRAVO!

    Good poem

Love ain't true, love ain't fair, love is a preamp to hate.
akes you feel good for a minute and hurts your hear for far longer. (Wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!)
I THINK IN LINE 11 YOU MAY HAVE MISSED PUTTING AN (I) After or before once.

HEy, right on! u know though. The bible says that love dosnt hurt. I believe if it does, to depth of ones sole, then it wasnt at all a gift or blessing but rather the devil playing tilt a whirl with ones heartstrings...haha me and my metafores. Thanks fore reading

Is that you in the picture? If it is I'm sure it would be hard for a man to leave you!
