Old Flowers

Stretching and breaking out of the ground
Opening into the most beautiful shades
Blue, yellow, orange, red, green
Sit dinner plates covered in dumplings
Steam rising and winding into your face
Your sun soaked old face beaming again
As you push your locks of hair aside
I see you smile
I swear it sounded like a creaky tricycle
Wheeling itself around a front yard
That is now below concrete somewhere
Slowly dying as it searches for sun
Shooting weeds through cracks into the sky
I see as much weeds growing on concrete as I see you
Nowadays, that is before you supposedly became a man
You eat. You accept it.
And as you lick the crumbs off the plate
You see the flowers below: green, red, green, blue
It's been awhile, hasn't it?

Please tell me what you think
