I saw the girl I love today online.
She spoke to me about the way she feels.
Each time we speak I climb a steep incline,
And at such altitude my body reels.
I know that she has loved me since we met
And I returned her love in perfect rhyme.
There has not been a word I could regret,
Remorse between two lovers is a crime.
Although this seems a tale of love and bliss,
Our love will never be allowed to grow.
We meet and eat and talk and share a kiss.
The only time we let our passions show.
She loves her husband, son and normal life
And I could never leave my only wife.

The couplet here does what the sonnet intends--acts as summation and simultaneous contradiction of everything in the first twelve lines. The first two quatrains draw us in; the third immediately signals a shift with "although"; and then the couplet strikes against expectations. Very well handled throughout.

Hi, many will relate to this sonnet, I wonder just how many on line love affairs their are, and would those who are married be classed as unfaithful to their spouses? very nice sonnet,D

this is such a sad yet beautiful poem you have weaved here. The beginnings reminded me of a time I confessed on the internet myself.
.
The second stanza if filled with the love you have for her and it shows so clearly. The third stanza though brought me to a halt and kept me wondering. Then as I read on, it figured. I guess many people go through this but the fact that both of ou have the courage to remain true to your families is brilliant! Great job!

Indeed a real sad piece that made me cry.
wishing I could heal the hurt, lovers fight with.
sorry that things in life, end with goodbye,
for when in a dance such as this, both give.
I cant even finish this. powerful piece that pierces the heart.

Oh my. This was a very sad reading.
Sad, for everyone involved.
It is descriptive and emotional
and was a powerful read.
