In the soft light of romance
as your fingers swerved
across my belly,
words teetered on my lips -
I nearly told you
I love you.
And each kiss is
like a virgin dawn;
a rising sun
melting mists and
diffusing inner chaos,
my lifted spirit
humbled
by the generosity
of your soul.
And I wonder
if I can let go of this fear,
that one day I should admit
ah, I am in love.

Oh my, I know it's been a while since I read your work but, you know, the daily routine grinds on. This is just superb. So full of anticipation yet bereft of any second guessing. Love is never having to say anything. Congratulations on the HM.
Sincerely,
Leo Long

An enjoyable piece of poetry, brush back the fear and let the words sail forth from lips wet with love and promises, a good poem.

So your day is in front of you today..Indeed a sweet work is here..thanks.... -
This is excellent, particularly the middle stanza. A sensual, sensitive and compelling piece.
