I'm so frustrated
Why can't people be straight forward?
Instead of making lives miserable
I know that most are just cowards

But they shouldn't ruin for the rest
As of Now I've lost my sight
The Sense most important to me
It's the continuity of emotional light

I guarantee before this night's end
I will be unrested
And this is only one small plea
My Patience has truly been tested!

    I live this every day in the 'corporate world', where positive spin is an artform. It is sad that our society seems to have lost even the ideal of honesty. I really like the line 'the continuity of emotional light'.

    It has been a long time since I read a piece of yours so I thought I would stop by. I thought this had an strong message... I think it's ... interesting that you ask why people can't be strait forward and the ones who aren't make other's lives miserable. The way I've heard (being a strait forward person myself) I'm always told the ones who don't hold their tongue are the ones who hurt people, true to an extent but the truth can hurt sometimes. This was well written and thought provoking. Well done.

      That's true...but that has something to do with tact not straight forwardness...ppl confuse things like this..
      straight forward doesn't equal tactless.
      Huge difference. you can have tact and be straightforward...and while that may somewhat hurt...it's better than being led on or lied to...or so on. Thanks for your comment...I see you changed your name. what brought on such a change?
