Watching moonbeams dance on the wind
will pass the languid hours
of long late nights, lying wrapped
in loving arms, soft, sweet
We smile, gazing at rays of silver shadow
that turn and tango through the windowpane
borne on breezes that whisp and whisper
of every season's kiss yet to come
The planets take up the unhurried rhythm
quietly so as not to wake the slumber
of those not yet watching
the sparkling ritual of the moonbeam dance.

Beauty!
Such beautiful words. Such expression of love. The way you use them is awesome. shadows that turn and tango, breezes that whisp and whisper, and kisses yet to come. That though gives me shivers. I like dancing moonbeams too. It's always so nice to be able to tell a great poet why you love their work. (All the rest are dead, lol). -

Roving thank you for reading and complimenting my writing and this particular poem. The serenity I now am lucky to have comes from my future husband, best friend and soulmate. thank you again and glad you liked this. -K

For me the line, "not to wake the slumber of those not yet watching" is the most gripping. You collide with me at a time when I need to be knocked aroud. It is not all grey, somethings are just black and white. From that black and white comes all good colors. I see life again, maybe, with perhaps even a twist of beauty. Perhaps this is what poetry does to people. Perhaps it should be this way. RC

"that turn and tango through the windowpane" - I love that phrase. The whole poem could have been sugary, but I think you pitched it just right.

Stunningly beautiful are these words. I feel like going downstairs and wrapping a huge kiss on my husband's lips after soaking in your words. I loved this. It is easy to see that love has you smitten.
