Thought provoking write. It makes me think of how maybe to try to see truth, maybe people should try looking within themselves, but then would we only be able to know truth subjectively and not objectively, if anyone can know truth objectively anyway because no-one can step outside themselves to actually see what's out there. Good luck in the contest.

The windows look out
To see creation without
dispelling all doubt
And yet the window
Lit up by that outside glow
Inside cannot know
But the window can
Follow just this simple plan
close shutters and scan

how did I miss this? Great metaphore (as if you ever had trouble with that) very thought provoking senryus. I really love the chain. What is the picture supposed to be? It makes my eyes go out of focus so I can't tell.

Very well done. I love the metaphor used in this. The windows are one's eyes and to see within one must close them. I love it.

Profound and slightly erotic, or is that just me? Can you just close one shade and look outward and inward simultaneously? That's what I want to know, oh wise one. Great senryu!
