I find myself at
such a juncture...
to say that which
I am dying to say -
but my heart flutters
every time I think
to do so.
I look into
those twinkling,
beautiful eyes...
I long to say it.
In any other tongue,
I could.
Somehow,
you make it
that much more difficult
for me to whisper,
just by being so
wonderful.

I love the title...the thing that is not done!
It is such a simple, strong emotion... to say it might destroy what is... unsaid words are often so much stronger....or saying it could smash what is special right now and create such awkwardness...
I like the language of the piece.. "every time i think to do so2
"in any other tongue I could"
The very ending of this left me uncomfortable,... the "just by being so wonderful" strayed too far into Greeting Card poetry! and the language did not match the rest of the piece.... and I think you can fix it!

You know, I have to agree with you. I've always been a little iffy about the ending, and it's good someone else pointed it out or I probably wouldn't think about editing it.

Wonderful
I love this! Especially how you don't come out and say what it is that you want to say in the poem, but it speaks volumes just the way it is. Excellent poem.

Thank you very much
I hadn't really been writing lately so I've been feeling very insecure when it comes to poems. I appreciate your comment, a lot
