Leap over rooftops,
tumble through laundry
fleeing from the hand of my master...
my captor follows suit
Ex-captor
(I excitedly remind myself).
Terror and adrenalin
feed my fleeing feet
my fearful heart.
Anxious to escape,
I do not see the stairs
only a gap leapt with lazy ease
And my tormenter's close behind...
I can hear his rash heavy breathing
and my fear only heightens...
I hear him leap from the rooftop
where I am now on the ground
a sickening crunch
and it's all over.
He did not see the gap
and I am free
Oh I am free!!!
I gallop down the street
with unrestrained
hardly contained
total and utter glee...

Intersting.
This has an excitement and suspense that leaps from the pages. Excellent penning, thoush I did find one spot.

Did you mean ..harsh heavy breathing?
I liked this for the imagery as well as the story it tild. Well done.

I have to say, this is a very very interesting take of the picture... lol
I like this a lot, actually. A story about attaining freedom from captivity... It's a tragic ending to the captor, but it still holds a lot of things that go on in this world these days. We all have our own captors that we try and get away from, and this story can put to a lot of different perspectives in our every day life. That's what I like about it the most. Plus it brought a small smile on my face after I had read it...
