NOTE: If it says I or me, then it means Her, not as in the author, first person if Her…
----------------------------------------------
The shingles scraped my bare feet as I held onto the roof,
fighting the winds that tried to blow me into the waters.
‘Where is he?’ I thought as the lightning cracked another electric pole.
I looked up and saw one billion stars shining at me, as if to say everything will be alright.
I heard the wind whirling around me and saw the hurricane heading for me, I looked around the roof, but saw nothing I could hold onto.
I screamed at the top of my lungs, hoping somebody could here me over the storm.
The wind picked up as the rain poured on my back, the clay on my body started to melt off me, I started slipping off of the roof,
into the dangerous waters below.
The wind kept blowing as the hurricane came closer,
I was on the edge of the roof,
close to the waters rushing only a few feet below me.
I tried to pull myself back onto the roof, but the wet mud and clay made me slip.
I slipped into the waters,
for a moment I had just started going deeper and deeper into the water,
then I realized where I was exactly and swam up.
The hurricane was getting closer and closer by the second.
I then heard a loud whirling sound a few feet over.
I waved my arms and screamed at it,
a rope ladder was let down and the man on it said to wait where I was,
help would be with me soon.
Soon didn’t come fast enough;
the waters that used to be the roads made huge vibrations and waves kept swallowing me.
I couldn’t stop thinking of him,
and kept wondering where he was.
I saw another helicopter come down and the waves got bigger.
I tried to make myself noticeable;
soon a different man on a rope ladder extended his hand to me.
I reached up to him and he pulled me up.
The clay and mud on my hands and feet had washed off by that time and only the dirty, murky water remained.
I climbed onto and up the rope ladder,
with thoughts of him racing through my mind;
I was worried of his safety,
whether he had been rescued,
or if he was looking for me.
I entered the helicopter,
my bare feet feeling the carpet on the helicopter.
I sat on the seat,
dirty, murky water dripped from my hair,
onto my face, and down my cheeks, like tears sent from the heavens, I was more worried than ever.
I shivered,
still thinking of Him.
The pilot was talking,
I’m not sure if it was to me, or the rescuer about to go down the rope ladder.
Suddenly the rescuer went down the ladder;
then two little girls,
each had the most beautiful velvety red hair,
their hair curled at the dirty water gripping at the ends;
both of them looked so scared.
I touched their shoulders;
they looked up with tear filled eyes,
they read ‘Save me.’
They came over to me,
they wept at my feet.
I sat them on my lap and wept with them;
I was weeping for Him,
and later I found out,
they were weeping,
for their own mother…
The three of us sat on the seat;
waiting to go to the rescue center.
We were the only three hurricane victims in the helicopter.
I couldn’t keep my mind of off Him,
everywhere I looked I could see me and Him there.
A solid cold tear ran down my face,
I saw that the two girls were worried also,
I felt sorry,
I
wish
that
I
could
reverse
time.
So that none of this had happened.
I’d be with my mother, a downside,
but I’d know that He was safe.
I could still feel his touch lingering on my skin,
his lips on mine.
Our hearts connecting,
but now…
All that has changed.
If I knew for certain he was alright.
For certain he wasn’t…
wasn’t….
Dead.
Who knew that four little letters could mean so much.
I turned me head the opposite direction and looked at the ground below me,
I saw the words “HELP US” and “SOS” written on rooftops.
“Why aren’t we helping them?” I asked the man near the ladder.
“There’s no room, besides there’s boats down there to help those people,” I didn’t like the rescuer.
“There’s not room?” I had a thought.
“No room,” the rescuer repeated.
I peered down again, “Then let me down, they can sit where I am,” the man seemed shocked.
“That’s not necessary, Miss, there’s a boat, right there,”
“That’s the top of a shed,” I corrected, “Let me down,” I said.
“I can’t do that, Miss,” the man persisted.
“Then I’ll do it myself,” the two girls looked up at me with big eyes. I got up and grabbed the ladder from the man and let it down. The pilot, realizing what was going on, stopped the helicopter. The two girls followed me to the edge of the helicopter, and then looked down.
I shook my head, implying that they must stay here. They shook their heads back in protest, not wanting to lose someone else they cared about.
Suddenly I felt light headed and my head started swinging around in circles. I had a throbbing pain in the back of my head. My eyes seemed to turn everything to black. I heard the two girls scream, and then I felt strong arms lifting me up.
I had a dream; my dream was filled with white coated people, all smiling and walking around.
In my dream I saw Him; he was smiling and holding me in His arms.
“Where are we?” I asked Him.
“It’s simple we’re…”
I woke with some one shoving me.
I read a nearby sign, it said “rescue center”.
I looked to my side; the two girls were there with big eyes.
“What happened?” I asked sitting up to make room for them.
They jumped up on the bed I was on, “You tried to go down the ladder,” one started.
“Then you almost fell! But somehow you were pulled up, no one touched you, your arms just pulled you back up onto the helicopter,” the other twin finished.
“No one touched me?” I was astonished. “I thought somebody pulled me up?” I couldn’t shake it from my mind.
“Nobody touched you. The guy at the ladder was about to pull you back up, but you pulled yourself back up,” the other twin started.
“Then he rushed you to this place and we stayed with you,” the other finished with big eyes.
“Did the man at the ladder say where he was going?” I questioned.
“To find more people,” the twin on my left said.
“Find?” I repeated.
“Yea, he said ‘find’,” the twin on my right side said.
I put my feet onto the ground and stood up. I read the sign that said “Service desk” I rushed over, ignoring the wires that fell off my arms.
“Excuse me, ma’am, can you page someone for me?” I asked the person at the computer.
“Who did you want to page, sweetie?” she smiled heartily.
I took a deep breath, hoping He was here, “Jeremy Nelson?” I smiled hopefully. (NOTE: Jeremy Nelson is Him!!)
“Jeremy Nelson to the Service Desk, Jeremy Nelson,” she spoke over the intercom. “You can go sit over there and wait, hun,” she smiled reflecting my hope.
I exhaled a deep breath as I walked over to the brown chairs, I hope He, Jeremy, was here, if not I don’t know what I would do.
The two girls came over and sat by me, “Who is Jeremy Nelson?” asked one of the twins.
“A friend, a special friend,” I smiled, confident that Jeremy would come, so that my fears would be denied their chance to become real.
My eyes showed how eager I was to finally see Him. I hadn’t seen Jeremy since we were on the roof, and he had fallen off.
Was he still alive? I try to ignore the fear of Jeremy not being here anymore, I had given up so much to be with Him, to hold Him close to me, to kiss Him without my mothers protest. I close my eyes and think of all the possibilities.
I remember our last close moment, I had fallen asleep with my head in His lap, I had not been fully asleep. I remember the last kiss He gave me, on my forehead. I touched the spot were his lips had touched and a tear slowly fell down my cheek.
I looked down both hallways, with hot tears running down my cheeks, I was hoping with all my heart he would come walking down one of them.

I like the first person form of this... It's nice not to have to figure out the "him" and "her" parts all the time.

Very suspenseful and I can't wait for #9!
You should write a book on this.

Have a question:
Is there a way to get a group for "Him and Her"? -
-
What do you mean... Like make a list or something?
-
-
no, like a group. Like "Silenced Angels" or one of those groups, only for "Him and Her".
Or do you have to be a gold memeber to do that? -
-
You'd have to be a gold member, but I'm willing to make one for you!
