it’s just a temporary predicament
but try as you might, you can’t understand
this weird and strange impediment
Your body is like another person
all out of tune with the world
but you’ll conquer whatever ails
‘cuz you’re a gutsy kinda girl
Whatever it takes we’ll be here
for you to call upon anytime
we’ll help in whatever ways we can
like a cold frothy beer or a glass of wine
So try to relax, my friend
maybe back in the Carribean
where all is fun and sunshine
you’ll soon see what I mean
And just for extra support and fun
since we like the beaches too
we’ll all tag along for support
us Partners will be there for you

Author notes
For a special partner in crime.
Since I've recently been subjected to a stroke, I can understand what it's like to have your whole body feel different, uncooperative. But I'm getting better and you will, too, Barb. Just hang in there, Partner.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Awww.
This is so cute,
so uplifting!
I want to come to the Caribbean too!
It's amazing though to see how you
write for others,to give hope to others
and I love that!

Obviously, I have no idea what ails Queen, but its really nice to see her friends rally around her like this.

Oh this is just wonderful, very uplifting and if I know my niece she is going to cherish this one Dee

I love when someone writes for someone else. It says so much about them as a person.
That said, I can also comment about a body being out of control. They seem to be on a whole other page sometimes darn these freakish creatures (pounds chests). I had a Subdural Hematoma five years ago, and my body literally feels as if it's possessed sometimes. My arms go one way when I want them to go another.
It takes time, patience and inner courage and strength. But lastly FRIENDS, to get through anything.
She is on the right path, she has you.

Thanks
for a breath of fresh air. I'm also bound to a "strange" body, with disease taking the very breath I strive to share. Odd, that I lose my breath, just as I find my voice.
This resonates, and it feels like time for a fruity drink with an umbrella.

I guess we learn to survive on one level or another, Rob. And hope for the best. Your comment sounds like you have health problems, too, so I'm sure you can understand what it's like and the hope we all hold for each other and for ourselves... and that fruity drink with the umbrella... sounds to me like good therapy and good medicine

Thank you for reading and for the kind comment

Queen has a different problem than my stroke but when it comes to an illness which can change and/or interpret our normal life it leads to a special understanding, I think.
Thank you for the encouraging comment. I appreciate it and I know Queen will, too
