Couldn't you have taken all the memories?
Couldn't you have left behind my heart?
Couldn't you have vanished into nothing?
Maybe then I wouldn't be falling apart...
Couldn't you have never spoken to me again?
Couldn't you have washed away with the rain?
Couldn't you have turned your back forever?
Maybe then I wouldn't be in so much pain...
Couldn't you have never tried to call me?
Couldn't you have never left me like this?
Couldn't you have faded away gracefully?
Maybe then I could make believe you don't exist...
