He entered this world,
Filled with joy and with peace.
He continued down the road,
With a smile at least.
He did his Fathers work,
I know hed be proud.
But like a thief through the night,
They stole him from us.
Stuck in their trap,
Man he wanted out!
The screaming,
The yelling,
No joy and no peace.
The drugs, the people,
Everythings wrong.
Our Father watching,
I imagine with tears.
“That’s enough son,
your coming home tonight.”
As his sin lead to death,
My brother went home.
He has peace,
He has joy.
He has meaning,
And oh! New beginning.
Filled with joy and with peace.
He continued down the road,
With a smile at least.
He did his Fathers work,
I know hed be proud.
But like a thief through the night,
They stole him from us.
Stuck in their trap,
Man he wanted out!
The screaming,
The yelling,
No joy and no peace.
The drugs, the people,
Everythings wrong.
Our Father watching,
I imagine with tears.
“That’s enough son,
your coming home tonight.”
As his sin lead to death,
My brother went home.
He has peace,
He has joy.
He has meaning,
And oh! New beginning.
Author notes
About my brother JJ, he passed away when I was 16. Shows his struggle in life. But Im so grateful to know that he did accept Jesus as his saviour. So at the end it shows his going home with the Lord our Father. Hes happy again :-).

There is hope in the everlasting, there is continuous joy and eternal peace. Yes, your brother is with the Lord; "Absent from the world in the arms of the Lord".
I too lost a brother. His death was due to violent crime. He was shot in the back of the head close range (22. caliber). The bullet ricocheted through his brain without slowing down. A cowardly act from a so-called friend. I know your association with your brother's death must still be fresh in your spirit. My little brother was killed 27 years ago in March. My Gos how time marches on. I can feel your pain in this poem but I can also feel relief.
You and your family have my condolences.
Much Love & Many Blessings ♥

Wow.
I am glad that he accepted Jesus as his savior though,
am sure that God took him cause that was what was best,
and it is amazing how God answers our prayers in way we don't think, in ways we don't imagine possible.
But you keep holding on
you keep being who He called you to be.

I like the first stanza, and i like the alst stanza, but i find the transitional one a bit weak. It just flow as well s the other two. Maybe yo uwere palnign for that, but i found it through the poem off. But i like th eidea of what the middle stanza is suposed to say, i foun dit quite powerful, i would just sugest you smooth out the flow, so that your message comes across even more so ( i think with the same flow as the first two stanzas, it will be even more powerful.)
Otherwise, i felt the emotion comethrough this poem very powerfuly. Hope your brother found his new begining.
