Daisychain Chokehold

We'd meet by chance on earth one day,
on trails of mud walked once before
by strangers on the other end who
tried to make it out alone.
Our fingers touched, and paralyzed,
we strode our way through silver streams
that cut the path in peices now,
with shattered dreams and long lost things.
The path split once or twice and we
tried hard to find a hand or two
to help us up the trail,
But not a finger eased my pain,
And no one stopped to look at me.
and nothing moved until your eyes
had peirced me in a subtle way
and found my hand again.
We would wade through moonlight,
when nothing seemed to cast a shadow.
For light was hard to find at times,
and darkness overwhelmed my eyes.
But some days we would never part...
when sun would make us tiresome now,
the only thing that shivered was
the long grass in the wind.
And daisy chains you made for me,
stored only in my memory,
kept a chokehold on my heart.
No suffocation would incline
me to remove to noose you made.
The wind moved through your hair like water
Laying on the grass we found
That life stopped fully and completley
Our world, we knew, was safe and sound.
Daisychain chokehold
Never ever let me go
leave me when the time is right
but never let me go.

Author notes

This was inspired by someone in my future that I have not yet met.
