Audrey's masked mates
skated in for a date
Although they were late, Audrey felt she needed to skate
along her triple eight gate...
Audrey could see other gates
She felt she could not escape
So as she glided and peered at the scene
You automagically could see everybody dream.
Audrey's masked mates sure did hide it well
for when Audrey thought the weren't looking
they were behind the gate peering and wishing to skate
along Audrey's triple eight.
Audrey states "Don't worry about it Dahling" if you're happy show it
skate triple eight don't just dream it, be it!!!
Ciao Dahling...

Excellent
Yes if you dream it make it so and live honey live for those about you often may doubt your dream but you see its ok because its not their dream its your own to give you the wings to fly move beyond them and see the joy of life set before you

Ciao indeed.
Congrats on your Gold. Here's to breakfast at Tiffany's.

When I skated it was when you wore a skate key around your neck on a piece of string! lol..this took me back a bit, reminding of those time skating on the sidewalks of Baltimore...way back in time...well done..I love Audrey Hepburn! Thanks for sharing

Wow, very cool! I loved the rhyme and meter. Not sure I quite understood it all (the skates?), but the over all meaning was fun and exciting and I could picture Audrey when I read it. Great job! and thanks so much for entering.

That's why she's the only one in focus because in my vision, she's wearing the skates and
to have such grace & beauty as she passes by everybody with such glee...
Now you need skates for that if you really observe the picture. -

I see what you mean. I hadn't really thought about it that way. I was afraid I had missed a movie where she skated. I did get the references to the whirling-ness of the picture, though.
Thanks again!
