Jealousy is
Consuming me
I see her there
Stop and stare
Envious of that hair
Life's not fair
This darkness is getting the best of me
Jealousy keeping me from being free
Tiring from my mind's trickery
Too blind to stop and see
Wickedness comes from this jealousy

Wow! Great write. Thanks for your entry. Good luck!

Covetousness does keep us in bondage. Contentment sets us free. From jealousy, many other sins arise to tear our lives apart. To keep us from being productive. Nicely written overall. I felt as if the second stanza could have more impact (if the cause of the jealousy was more critical than just appearances).

Jealousy keeping me from being free
can't do your own
