Of My Many Valentines

Oh I’ve had many a Valentine since I attained the age of nine
discovering, with great intent, that girls from boys were different
when one of them (who looked divine) said: “Show me yours and I’ll show mine!”
‘Twas then I learned, to my surprise, the contrasts in both shape and size.

At twelve I found, from manual tests, some girls had well developed breasts
while others, lean with little fat, had chests that stayed completely flat.
Invariably boys liked best the girls who had the biggest chests -
especially those who wagged their arses (even if they were wearing glasses!)

From school I moved on into College where I improved my general knowledge.
By the time I reached the age of twenty, of girls I’d had my share aplenty.
They took to me like bees to honey as long as I was free with money
but, when my bank account ran dry, they’d leave me for some other guy.

Though enjoying a bit of slap and tickle, most females are extremely fickle.
You’ll waste your time to Valentine ‘em unless you also wine and dine ‘em.

Heathcote Giffen, February 2008.

    Boobs still Thrill! LOL

Heath, with getting older, you haven't changed. Though your darling wifey you dearly love, you still get excited with the zoftic female torso! What a man! This woman is not fickle. I'm still single, not dating, so I can so with all honesty fickleness is not my problemo! Your meter and rhyme are perfect as always! Best wishes in this contest!
Much love and Valentine's kisses to pass on to your misses!

Heath, I don't agree that is true only of girls.
Especially these days, it's a jungle out there!

We all learn from our experiences, and I think you have learned that there is one woman who is different from the others. Evidently it took much experimentation to find her!
This poem is fun to read, I like the rhyme and meter, and your saucy style. Best of luck!

    Dear Heathcote,

Your experiences of life and love, which we have often discussed and compared, are very similar to my own.
Even on cyber (or maybe more especially on cyber) there are women who initially seek your help and support and protest their loyalty and undying love. One does one's best to help them but their pretense becomes more and more obvious as time goes by, graduating from hypocrisy to rudeness and even spite as they realize you have 'seen through them'. Because of the narrowness of their own natures, they can never understand themselves or anyone else and their lives become a succession of lost friendships, opportunities and cast-off relationships.
It is fortunate that, in my time, I have only been acquainted with a few such sorry persons but I know that, before you met Hinemoa, you had some really bad experiences.
Your poem is eloquent and well written. Good luck in the voting.
    Applause and love,
    Hugh (R.)

    My Dearest Heath,
How blessed I am to have found you and taken you away from those floosies. Now we are together living happily in New Zealand. Those girls are but a memory to you now.
A lovely poem my dear Husband.
    Love Hine.

Dear Heath, WOW! You certainly had a lot of Sheila's in your time, but I'm glad now that you have Hine to keep you from wasting your money on the others.
Another great poem in the contest.
    Love AJ

Ah it'll be interesting if the women in the contest will notice that you consider them 1.) fickle, 2.) mercenaries "unless you also wine them and dine them."

If I were a woman, you would not be getting my valentine! (Unless of course you wined and dined me first....)
