[ The room rearranges itself ]

The room rearranges itself
to carve it's way through dust
past the loss into the parlor
arming blades against the rust

books fly from the shelf
in this home beside the harbor
hardwood floors moan under weight
As I await my one step farther

The silence wears thin
When all this solitude just leaves me clues of where you've been

Not sure about the last line in the second stanza ... just doesn't work. It is incomplete, the ending is just weird like that and I'd of recommended you finished it before it closed and if you did come back and this is the final piece, I'd recommend you work on it even further. The first stanza was pretty good.
