I have to! I've hurt you and I
can't live with your constant forgiveness.
Why do you stay? Why do you care?
I'm drowning myself and taking your
lovely face down with me. I don't
desire that. So forget all about me.
Forget you ever knew me or loved me.
What I want for you is to hate me!
Your goodness is so unfamiliar,
I don't know how to deal with it.
I've never known anything so pure
and innocent. If you could only
understand these battles fought
out inside my head, you would do
what most people have and lose all
faith in my wretched being.

you please turn your warm heart
into a cold stone. Push me from your
life and hate me.
You brought me so far out of the dark,
the countless fights led to some light
shining on my life. But I couldn't resist,
temptation over came and I broke your
heart again. All that work was done in
vain.

This really hurt... but was really enlightening at the same time. I may be a whiz at psychology, but I failed to bring myself to see the situation from her point of view, whether or not it's as miraculous as yours. Truly beautiful, well written.
I love your use of the word 'forgiveness'... it's the definition I've held for far too long - one I feel very spot on. I commend you.
