But what I'm trying to tell you is:
You're not very bad at being a good friend...
I hope one day you'll realise.
I'm going to miss you, you know; the day that you go away.
And I hope you'll come back to see me once in a while,
And I hope you'll... Stay again... A while.
And maybe we can head down to the rope swing?
And you can paint,
And I can dance.
And I'll splash you with some water,
And I'll splash you with your Blue, Blue paint

Maybe some things are just too big to see at the moment
But you know it doesn't matter - it's not the end of the world;
And maybe when you're wondering why my voice went that way,
Just laugh and appreciate the joke,
Because jokes and dreams don't last too long
And it's good to enjoy them, before they're gone.
Sometimes it's ok just to paint -
To paint and laugh and dream as if you never got old.
Not scared that things will one day End
Because what's here is here,
Painted in gold
Unquakable and
Unstoppable.
And sometimes, maybe sometimes,
When you feel like you're reaching the end,
You should take his hand
And smile at him
And tell him it's all ok again,
Even though those dark eyes haunt you
WIth thoughts of all that is Not anymore
Try to spot the laughter,
[I know you don't forget the tears]
And hold onto him and take care of him, While he's here.
['Golden Age' interlude]
So take that brush
And splash it on your canvas
And paint us a sky that's free
And on those Down Days...
When your paint falls like tears again,
You'll have a Happy Place to escape to
In today's good memories.
Sometimes it's ok just to paint.
