to safeguard yourself
from agony and pain
if you build walls around
Oh, it shall only be in vain
for powerful enough
are the hands of fate
that she'll pull down
your fort's walls and gates
so be not a fool
and seek self protection
but give in and accept
to conquer death and destruction
only forts and castles
can be destroyed
but the open grounds
can never be scathed
and if you accept life
the way it comes
then life no more would be your enemy
but a freind it shall become
Please tell me what you think

I really like the wisdom in this, it's very true. I liked the last stanza the best. Hope you have a great day.

Fantastic! Such a honest and beautiful view towards life. A rare thign to see in anyone. You usually find people fighting with fate and trying to direst thing in one's own ways. but you are so tru my friend that life would be a friend if we just accept it the way it comes the last stanza is so real and so true. an Excellent moral and an excellent presentattion in th poem.
Thanx for the comment. -

Wise words!!!! What a great job you did on this one! Too bad more people don't think like you! Maybe if they did, things would start looking up in this world!
