It’s for a moment…
(a dedication to my fiancee Mary…)


East gives the much favoured Sun.
From us the West snatches it.
It’s for a moment;
The skies have grasped the concept.


Of this world I wander
For a wonder it is among free minds
It’s for a moment;
Winter is now, spring stands beckoning.


Let not your mind be sterile.
Darkness has no permanency.
It’s for a moment;
The bright day will soon blossom.


So is woman heavy with baby
Counting months fully hopeful.
It’s just a moment;
Let’s not confuse it with infinite…




Author notes

I saw so clouds coming, but so much is the faith and hope I have in this life God has given us. Mary, this is my word to you: It's just a moment. Things will soon pass!

    I like the line Darkness has no permanency/ the bright day will soon blossom. It's so refreshing..so encouraging. Though it is for Mary( there I go again!) I think Doco can somehow squeeze in!
