You never knew
how much I truly loved you
or that you would never see
the grandchild given by me
I should have told you but I was scared
I though if you knew you'd no longer care
that you would be mad at me
for you wanted me to do more you see
I didn't want to let you down
and see upon your wonderful face a frown
I know I should have told you
then I'd know that you knew
and now that you are gone
the nightmares plague me in the predawn

Things said reach the people we love in some magic way out of our sight. Nice thoughts. Peace always fills in when grief finishes.
