Freedom for Mojo

"Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power,
and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free."
                     --Jim Morrison

Within dreadful deep reverence
Unholy sacrilege in remembrance,
Most frightful fits depicting demise
A venerated horrific image belies
The conscience demands deliverance;

Visions of Hell with beast be layed
Viscious attacks of cerebral dismay
Conquering the demon most feared
Fear of freedom simply disappeared,
Triumphant release from being enslaved.

All I can say is if I could get a hold of that edit button that took THIS away from my contest....

Damn. Well nevertheless - you chose one of my favorite quotes, and managed to pen something quite powerful. This almost seems like a condensed version of the actual feeling, though I may be incorrect.
A dark region found within the depths of imagery woven.

I can honestly say, I wish the other entries had been this good....

Wow, powerful! I don't think I've ever read a poem with such dark language that had such an uplifting message. Terrific form, flow and rhyme too. Excellent!

Jim Morrison is one of my favorite singer/poet...

I really like you poem. It is very dense, and your use of language is amazing. Every line held something different... Some new imagery... something different. I liked that.

    ~ Wonderful Write

Our mind does indeed toll the bell of inner turmoil most seductively. It shows here. A very nice piece
