Spaz: two perspectives on a cat

Full of life, with ginger fur
And eyes that glimmer in the night.
A feline grace he has at paw—
He jumps, but always lands upright.
Many are the tricks he plays
In joking fun.  No harm is meant
Or done by his mischievous tricks:
Enjoying life is his intent.

O demon cat, with flashing eyes
And stealthy, sneaking ways of paw.
He has no aim but playing games
And disobeying every law.
His cruel tricks bring harm to all,
But he cares not—he loves the fun.
He brings to every human fright
By jumping down—his game is done.

Author notes

An assignment in English class a while ago. We had to come up with two contrasting views of the same thing. It didn't have to be poetry, but it was more fun to describe Spaz, one of my friend's cats, in meter and rhyme.
