Those days
Everyone has those days when everything just goes wrong
But what happens when we reach that point,
The one that pushed us over the edge… the one that broke our spirt?
Do we suck it up and keep going, or do we sit and wallow in self pity?
I miss the days when a problem could be solved with a piece of candy…
A bowl of ice cream….
Or even a hug from mommy or daddy.
What happened to those days?
Where have they gone?
Do we lose them when we reach a certain age…
Or do we just quit believing in the magic of childhood?
Please tell me what you think

Wow, this is another great piece from you!
Your words are so true here. I think that
after a while we get so caught up in our
own worlds that we forget just how hard it
can be to heal a broken heart. It's so
important for us to be there for our children
and when we aren't or can't be, it can be very
devastating. I love the last seven lines in
this poem. It really makes you question
yourself as to what you can do now days to
ease the pain. Many times we find ourselves
in such violent and chaotic situations in our
lives. It's very unfortunate that so many of
us think this way. Wonderful thought that you
out into words here. Thanks for sharing this!
