The Secret Garden

The secret garden,
behind the door,
the enchanted round door,
Underneath the entwined ever-growing ivy,
Deep, beaming green,
Beyond the thick wooden oak door,
Is a secret garden
An eden,
A paradise,
The flowing stream,
Rapid, clear blue water,
Glistens under the sunshine,
Green, green grass,
Sways gently with the wind,
Oh, how I wish,
I could go to a place like this.

    BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

As I read your lovely poem I am happy to see in my mind the story of the secret garden and what the people found there was much more than the beauty of nature but also of spirit and love.

    Quite Good

Some nice imagery does seem like a nice place to dream of, might be much more cohesive written in rhyme...George

I can just see that garden with it's heavy oak door keeping out the intruders, keeping he grass sily and waving in the breeze, and the chrystal blue stream flowing through. What a place it must be.

Sounds like my kind of garden.
I do hope there are tomatoes there though. I do love tomatoes.

Excellent imagery. I found the entire thing to be a very beautiful picture in my head. And the ending added the sense of fantasy and imagination to it. The only thing I would question is the use of the word door. Three times may have been a little too many. Remember there are other similar terms such as "portal, gate, etc." This peace was fun to read.

i wanna go too now, i realy like line 5 where it says beaming green cos that reminds me of a searchlight, that can't find the garden, but i think maybe "green, green grass" could have been made a slightly bit more interesting. on teh whole xxx je loves it and since u always complain that i dont comment or give you my preciaous applauses, for this great work have 3.
