Frustrated And Still Yearning

Why must I continue to return to this pit?
Relive my life in slow motion dispair
Removed from myself and desired result
I try to hide behind loathful eyes
The pain and reality of my despair
The ever present care and need to breath again
To run and jump and skip as high
As my forgone aspirations
Why must the impermanence of all things be so final?
Set in stone?
Why must truth be so fatal?
Never will I find respite?
Never solace?
Even with an "All Mighty" as the derivative of my fright
I can not be extricated by any means, or so it seems,
from my dire predicament, from this plight
Now I know what they mean by "Ignorance is bliss."
If not for my knowledge of my situation
I could have continued, forever blind
to the fact that I am no more than the dirt around me
I am dust, and ash... and can not wish for better

Where is the eternity that was chiseled on my heart?
Where is my candy?
My sweet pink surprise?

Please tell me what you think

    Some of my favourite lines:

"...Relive my life in slow motion dispair"

"Where is the eternity that was chiseled on my hearts?
    Where is my candy?
    My sweet pink surprise?"

It's a good poem - truly, it is. I often think the same things myself - why me? Why, no matter how hard I try, do things not go my way? And believe me, I try. I have goals, dreams, aspirations - but why is it so bloody hard to get there?

In the end though, endurance creates perserverance. If I can survive this, I can survive anything.
