rainsong

      I

    grey skies sing the rain
barren branches reach to catch
        each melodious word

      II

    furrowed branches play
raindrops into melodies
        strummed on plates of bark

      III

    myriad mossy twigs
tap percussion swinging rain
        to slanted rooftops

a good haiku series - i am not a big fan of haiku but i do like them when there are more than one, something more to get into. i like rain, it is great to listen to at the nighttime, soothes the mind and helps you go to sleep, and we have a lot of rain in this neck of the woods

Simply remarkable!! The syllable count is purrrrfect.....and the flight of your fantasy is amazing. Superb haikus, indeed! My favorite is the first set:

    grey skies sing the rain
    barren branches reach to catch
    each melodious word
