Your my baby
And I'm your man

We can wander around town
for hours with out a destination

making life our very own
sappy love movie

I'll grab you by the waist

and kiss you in the pouring rain

 

I'll give you my hoodie when your cold

even if I only have a little shirt on under

 

I'll be your knight in shining armour

when your scared or in danger 

 

Take my hand and I'll lead the way
to a place of gracious beginnings

The end of loneliness
and the start of our future

I'm not perfect

and I never claimed to be

but I will promise
to treat you like the
beautiful woman you are

and give you all I can give

I'll give you something to smile about

Respect and love

I'll never abuse you

I'll never try to hurt you

only try my best to make you happy

    Magnificent. Your words are just... capturing. You've entered quite a few poems on here, and it's hard to choose just one to pick as a finalist! You have one special girl, man. You two are definitely a fitting pair. I loved the line where you said you are not perfect and you never claimed to be. Reminds me of my love for my bff. Amazing job, as always.

    the way you write is how all men should be but that's just not going to happen. i liked this poem alot, sound's to me like she has her a good guy.
