once upon a life
when i was only young
i began to see strange things
and was told to hold my tongue
no one was there to stop this
no one even tried
i couldn't find a person
to whom i could confide
blackness filled my heart
and a red glare pitched my eyes
i started to grow and change
into the thing that was supposedly lies
clawed hands about my throat
as i struggled for my breath
i felt my soul expand
til' it wasn't left
my eyes snapped wide open
to the world that most dont see
everything became so clear
like this was who i was to be
my clothes fell to my feet
which became spears of four
my face became a snout and
soon i was no more
my jaws dropped and sagged
as wings replaced my shoulders
i was mutating into to this thing that
could probably have smashed some boulders
fur - long and silky
covered me like hair
it twisted and warped in the wind and
protected me with care
a thunderous roar came about me
as i opened my mouth for a first
ears slid upside my head and
with that came the thirst
i wanted knowledge and meat
to fill this body well
so i feasted that night for hours
and only time will tell
feathery wings expanded
lifting me to the air
from that night on i was different
i didnt feel despair
nothing would confine me
and nothing would stop this drive
i would now be the something
that causes them to hide.
eh...i got bored with this...

I like it!
My dearest cuz, Wings I have not heard that before! How original! I think it added more to the poem though.
I also like how you described the hunger, the torment, and the emotional bliss! I really liked this piece.
Keep it up!
Love ya!
