Every day that passes i shall morn
That i possess a heart bleeding and torn
I began to live when i met you
but our moments of happiness were little and few
When you left i began to die
A wilting flower,an anguished sigh
My poor heart eventually turned black
My sorrow is useless, you won't come back
My crimson hatred is searing and dark
Inwardly your cruelty left a mark
You inflicted starvation upon my soul
and now my heart's as black as coal
My trust is gone never to return
Within me the anger will fester and burn
It rips and tears me apart
it beats no more,
my black discarded heart
Author notes
i wrote this after my boyfriend moved away and neglected to tell me goodbye. He has never called. it's been six months

How Awful...
for your boyfriend to leave and not even tell you. Have you got another one, I hope? The one who left doesn't seem very good.
I enjoyed your poem a lot. I enjoyed the rhyme and flow which balanced pretty well throughout the poem, and the end where you broke from your pattern.
I think you're a pretty good poet.
