Bed Bug

I am a lonely bed bug
and no wants me around
they think I am so horrible
but really I just want a hug

I promise not to bite
I'll be the perfect friend you'll see
so just lay down and stay still
but don't forget to turn out the light

As you start to drift to sleep
just know that I'll be there
showing you the kind of friend that you find in me
as I bite and scratch at you, please don't start weep

For when they find you in the morning
not a sign of me will they find
so when you hear that short rhyme
listen very closely to their warning

Because a bed bug is not a too nice
we shall continue to be this way
so at night before you sleep just remember this...
if you don't like to gamble then do not take that chance, and never roll the dice.

Author notes

just wrote what came to me and I used option 1

Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite.

3- Put the cliché you are using in your authors notes!!!! If you do not do this, I will delete your poem. If this happens, you can re add it once the prompt is in there. I have learned asking nicely
    seldomly works.

great read.... thought i would drop this in for you

A good take on option 1. You make the bedbug seem like a nice guy, almost sympathetic.

    Thanks for your entry.
