October

I stood outside today
Breathing in the sweet cold air

-It smelled like October-

The wind brushed by the trees and wrapped around me
As if it knew how to get under my skin

-I remembered the way you used to hold me-

I promised myself to keep it together
But the feeling was too familiar

-If I let one tear fall, they'd all come down-

Wiping at my eyes I went back inside
Inside my safty, inside my home

-It was too much to bear-

Remebering you, remembering the month you gave me to prove myself
It wasn't long enough

-It wasn't fair-

You left me and the rest of the world
Without a goodbye, you were gone

-You erased yourself from my life-

Did you know how much that hurt?
To just let you go without a fight?

-Did you?-

A tear threatened to fall as I looked out the window
At the trees and the wind making them dance

-You didn't leave me anything-

Nothing but a memory of October

Good job. A few spelling errors, but overall well done.
The flow was nice, it wasa bit choppy at times but it was easy enough to understand. It was heartfelt and the imagery words used only enhanced the poem. Great job.

    I especially liked:
    -You didn't leave me anything-

Nothing but a memory of October

    Thank you for entering.
