Baby's first smile

There’s nought so welcome as a summer breeze
In the heat of the day to put you at ease
Or a nice hot bath, coming in from the cold
Is certainly worth it’s weight in gold
But the nicest of all is a baby’s first smile
That makes all the trauma of childbirth worth while.

    lol I would imagine I must admire the way women go through pain of giving birth and all the pains of raising a child I guess love is a very deep thing

    The subject matter of a baby's smile is a bit unrelated to the first two subjects in the poem, but this is very sweet and the emotional content justifies the poem.

    While not really what I was looking for I will allow it in my contest. It is a sweet poem though. You did a great job with it.
