Your eyes are the window to your soul
But your eyes that once sparkled with the brillance of
a diamond as they conveyed your connection to the All
are but a vacant stare.
Eyes that could surround with all the love and protection
of the Universe and connect to the deepest part of my soul and
convey words of unspoken thoughts of the heart are empty.
The emptiness in your eyes begins the emptiness of our hearts.
For as your mind fills with the fear of your death, your soul must
rise to the Love that waits above.
For love and fear cannot be within the same existance and as
you fear, your soul departs and there is left a vacant stare.
The brillance faded and with it the memory of our love and trust
and safety that our universal connection brings to all on this
earthly plane.
I must learn to rise above that vacant stare of fear and
surround you with the love and trust and safety of the All
to which we are connected.
I must never forget my path of Love that I must walk each day;
Following my soul's purpose to guide us both to Love above and fill your
eyes with the brillance of love and peace and forgiveness in that
great beyond.skye2008

So tenderly written and so very personal. AIDS is a tragedy in our time that too many people do not see with their own eyes, so they can deny its cruelty.
God bless. ~ Joyce

I like your beginning, center, and end. The emptiness of which you speak is evident in emotion. Wonderful, thank you for entering.

This is absolutely beautiful. Impeccable really. As one reads, one can feel the pain that emanates from your words. I can truly say that I was able to see the lost one and feel the emotions in the air. From the first line, I was captivated. Thank you so very much and good luck to you.

good piece
I liked this poem and I'm commenting for both contests, ""Loss of love"" it fits in and a good write, but for the other contest ""Deep, emotional, Life poems, Leave me feeling your pain "" it isn't what I was looking for and I was wondering if you had read the material that I had on the conpetition screen. For loss of love great poem and thankyou for entering and best of luck. Great write.
