A personal burden lain on her heart
A journey that she could never start
Love was a prerequisite to travel on
Funny how once again she was alone
How had she managed to wind up here?
Feelings of hope began to mingle with fear
She knew the path she had managed to take
And she knew that it was her own mistake
Broken down, battered, he was her first
And as she looked back he was the worst
Touching the places of long erased scars
Memories of pain she put behind bars
A terrible fight, a ‘fall’ down the stairs
His vodka made his reality impaired
His curses had echoed in her head
“Bitch you just wished you were dead!”
The next image to pass through her mind,
Was the second love she managed to find
His smile had made her blush and smile
But the good times ended after a while
With little reason he took his leave
And used an excuse she didn’t believe
She was left broken, worse than before
She felt like she couldn’t go on anymore
Tears had welled up into her brown eyes
The next boy had been a true surprise
She had be ready to tie the final knot
He was the one, or so she had thought
She pushed him away, no reason why
even after that she couldn’t say good-bye
She thought back with such sad reverie
What could have been, will now never be
Then anger welled… these thing were past
It was true that love could never truly last
It would’ve been easier if she had refrained
So much time spent and so little gained
She was strong, she knew that much
She didn’t need to feel another's touch
And maybe she could do this on her own
Cause maybe(just maybe) she didn’t need anyone

Oh. This is another sad poem that I have found on the featured today.
Seems like there are so many recently. I wonder if it has to do with Valentine's day approaching or maybe it's just because winter is still not over yet. It makes me feel sad to see so many other people feel sad. Though everyone goes through these kinds of things. I think that you did a good job of expressing yourself.
