It was that hot summer day
That turned into a blissful evening
As the sun sank behind the trees
And we had to pull out the flashlights to see
We rolled with laughter
As the grass stained our skin
With its beautiful hue of green
We sat around the stone table
Told stories of how we all met
So gently you pushed back my hair
And gave me the slightest kiss
Upon the apple of my cheek
Right on the dimple from a childhood long forgotten
It was that moment that I knew
This is right
For once
This is right
It was you all along

very cute. I never knew the cheek had an apple though. Hmm. such a sweet romance that is not too soon forgotten. I like it and the way it seems to point down in your words is pretty good too. Your poem dances like a midsummer's breeze upon the sea, cool and sweet with a splash of excitement(with those breezes it is cold water, lol) thank you for writing this. Write some more soon! laters

Lovely tale of love awakened for it had probably been sleeping in your heart long before. This is and idyll that rises above mere romance to a greater quality, perhaps more like a hymn.

I really enjoyed this great visuals, loved the way she/he made you feel like a child again. I hope you get to roll in te grass and laugh like your characters....... -
That is a perfect description of "recognizing" your soulmate. Wonderful.
