You are walking alone on the pier at just after midnight. The ocean waves crash around you and you follow the wooden path down to the end where you can see nothing but darkness and stars, with a full bright moon gazing down on you.
You rest your arms on the wooden rails when you feel hands gently lie on top of yours. You feel a chest touch your back and a breath cool as the night itself on your ear. Your heart begins to race, as your blood pumps through your body faster and faster.
You whisper softly, "Who? Who are you? What..." and you are interrupted. "What would be a more presuming question and a more accurate one as well, my dear one."

"So vexing is your tongue I swoon to hear more"
You're standing with a stranger, eyes pondering the water.
"Thus you shall dear kitty, but death becomes the curious"
His cool whisper lingers on the tips of your ear.
He intakes your scent.
And you forget.
The cool breeze wishes to show your neck to him.
He shall not have it though.
For the wind pulls the brown curls over to the right.
When he wants them to go to the left.
"So long is the canines of a kitty"
Tilting your head slightly, you temp.
"But yours, no doubt, are longer"
He takes a pale finger and traces the jugular.
"Mmmm, most kitties keep from dogs"
He spins the newly placed ring on your left hand.
The one given by the man you are to marry morrow's eve.
"Aye, but even dogs stray from bats"
You exhale as he hissed the taunting bats.
Moving your hands, you entwine your fingers.
Yet his marble skinned fingers pry them apart.
"Come, dance with me kitty. With the tunes of old."
He spins you around.
Grasping your hands, moving one to your hip.
He hinders not, but swiftly moves.
His movements like liquid.
You follow his lead.
Her head lays upon his chest.
"Dear bat this kitty's vexed. But by a dog..I fear"
You sigh at the lack of heartbeat.
"Bat, I do wish I would look upon your face once more"
You look, but shift your gaze below.
"Ahhh, but to, would be to abandon this given gift."
"Dear kitty, I wish for your embrace once more"
He stops dancing and wraps his lanky arms around you.
Becoming nothing but the night winds.
You hear a whisper.
"Ahhh, but to, would be to take your gift"
