To Whom it Concerns,
So much can be said of today's society and the challenges teens and young adults face with many hardships along life's journeys. When you place one in prison without a feeling of hope you are taking away what they feel is all they have left in their spirit and souls. Even at younger ages of boys and girls than this fine young man, I have seen too many fall through the cracks of government and society on a path to nowhere. This young man has a true chance to succeed if given the right chance and influence. Please Give this incredible young man a fighting chance to be and feel mental and emotional strength, not be a statistic in the governments numbers. Take into thought and please consider the option of a well disciplined and structured treatment / mental health program. The profound growth is highly more productive and emotionally beneficial for the well being of this young man as well as many people like him. Give him a change to have the wonders of new-found hope with him with his mother nearby in her state where she can help see the light within his heart shine again and be the vibrant fellow he is.

Truthfully this really touched me. I was in and out of the court system for a while when i was younger and it is a demeaning process that may stop myself and others from committing a crime but will leave them down and out, feeling worthless when the process is over. Imprisoning teens and young adults for certain things is not the right way to go about things. For in my opinion they need a helping hand more than incarceration.. After all the hectic happenings in the court that i went through i finally got the helping hand that i needed and now i'm living life to the best of my ability and loving it and i haven't been back in the court system since. I truly feel for you and yours and i wish you all the best of luck in your troubling times. I hope all is resolved sooner than you and yours originally thought.

Plea is heartfelt and one can feel the sincerity and desperation you are going through as you write these words. We can only hope all turns out in the end, and that your nephew is helped and not made worse by the sentence given. Easy to read and understand.
