Laughter, smiles
jokes and music
All seems fine
and dandy, to the
world, but no one
knows the inside
The outer shell
can wear it's happy
mask of pretense,
but the heart holds
such pain, bitterness
I will never tell those
that I love, just how
much I do ache and how
I wish death would take
me, instead of taunting
me, and giving me this
disease, that slowly
takes over my health
The sleepless nights
of wondering, did I
just live my last day,
and if so, were their
things unsaid or undone?
So, I sit here, and strike
a pose of sweet bliss, for
those around me, and keep
my fears hidden deep, until
I am alone in bed tonight,
and then it comes out to play...

Very nice take on the prompt.
Wonderful emotion.
However I didn't think that there was a strong flow to the piece. Despite this flaw I feel that it's a nice write. -
1) like the pic
2) Can totally and fully relate to pretty much this whole poem
3) but I didn't feel a flow or anything that really made it work...at least for me.
But good work and keep on writing
