I paved the way for their clinical intervention
Blaming my inadequate grip on life
My brief yet lingering slip from the edge of reality
The unknown space in time where I didn’t let go….
But I was a far cry from…… stable
Now lost and despondent
I sit so still in the prison of my own making
The walls of my mind tremble at their suspicious glances
Their microscope cures and stethoscope remedies
I long to be free from prying eyes
Let me linger in my self contained nowhere
Wallow in the pain and angst of nothing and no one
Chase empty thought for days without relinquishing an answer
For the mere existence of life is but a burden to me

Love the depth of your words...love this stanza completely...for I feel it often...
"Let me linger in my self contained nowhere
Wallow in the pain and angst of nothing and no one
Chase empty thought for days without relinquishing an answer
For the mere existence of life is but a burden to me"
Very creative, dark and well worded...
Thank you for entering!

Hmm...
The end line came off as a bit teen angst to be honest.
But other than that I thought you had a unique take on the prompt. Your poem was well thought out and well presented. Thank you
