lost...
in thought
i found ye
lurking there
just below the surface
waiting
to draw breath
waiting
for winters thaw
and low
i was faced
wi' ye
like looking in
a mirrow
perplexed by beauty
'but ye leave evera time lass'
i spoke
through chilled lips
and there was naught
a reply...
as iceicled breath
rattled from
frozen lungs...
i knew a kiss
would melt the ice
but...
be the undoing
of all i worked for
fought for
'trust me'
ye tempted
like a wee siren
and your cat green eyes
dared mi
i groaned
knowing
how lost i was
and ye
a damning salvation
but a kiss away
and i ken then
i fought only
a looseing battle
drowning was inevitable...
ye always took mi
drowned mi
covered in ice

Wonderful
Thank you for a lovely vision of the struggle and surrender that is part of life. Again, you've drawn me into your imagery with delicately honed precision.
